Final Project

For your final project, your directions were to choose one of three portrait styles, (mark-making, low-poly, or glitch) and digitally “weave” it with the original photo. What style did you choose and why?

  1. I chose the glitch style. This is because I thought that the glitch would look very good with the weave and it the glitch did not take too much time to make, so I could adjust the settings, so that that it will look good, to my standards.

  2. What tools did you primarily use for this project? The tools that I primarily used for this project was the rectangular marquee tool and the gradient tool. I used the rectangular marquee tool for making the weave strips and I used the gradient tool for the shadow on the weave.

  3. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project? Some of the challenges that I faced during this project is not loosing any of the facial features, during the weave and making sure that the strips look even enough.

  4. In some cases, weaving two portraits together can be challenging because major details, like facial features, can become confusing or even lost in the process. Was this a challenge for you? Do you think you were successful with your weave technique? Why? This was a challenge for me. I think that I was successful with my weave technique. This is because I really like the way that it came out and I think that it looks very good.
