Glitch

As the artist of this piece, what was your main objective?

1. As the artist of this piece, my main objective was to get a portrait of someone, and in this case, I used Ashley Benson and I had to make it look like it was glitched and not a normal photo.

2. What tools did you primarily use for this project?

3. For this project, one tool that I primarily used was the levels filter to get the colors of each duplicate image, either yellow, magenta, or cyan. Additionally, another tool that I primarily used was the wave filter, to get all of the duplicate images to look glitched.

4. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

5. One challenge that I faced during this project was trying to get the wave filter sliders, to look just right for the image. Another challenge that I faced during this project was trying to make the image look like it was glitched.

6. The goal of this assignment was to create the effect of a Retro VCR style “Glitch”. Multiple styles were demonstrated in class. What technique did you use and why?

7. The technique that I used was to use the wave filter to make it look like the image was glitched.
