Polaroid Pictures
1. As the artist of this piece, what was your main objective?
As the artist of this piece, my main objective was to take a photo of myself and break it up into smaller polaroid pictures.
2. What tools did we primarily use for this project?
For this project, I mainly used the fill tool to fill in the background of the polaroid's and I also used the rectangular marquee tool, to get the shape of my polaroid picture.
3. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?
One challenge that I faced during this project is trying to get the exact shape of a polaroid picture. Another challenge that I faced during this project is trying to get my two hands to pop out of the polaroid, making them almost three dimensional.
4. What tools or techniques did you choose to use to remove your background? Were there some tools or techniques that worked better for you than others?
To delete the background, I used the quick selection tool and the magic wand tool. The quick selection tool worked better for me because it was able to grasp the background better, to delete it.
5. What are the advantages of using a Layer Mask to create and organize your Polaroid Shapes?
The main advantage of using a Layer Mask to create and organize my Polaroid Shapes was that the polaroid shapes stayed exactly the same, every time I duplicated them. Another advantage of using a layer mask to create and organize my Polaroid Shapes was that each of the separate layers were grouped separately together, so I didn't get the layers mixed up.
