Double Exposure #1
1. As this the artist of this piece, what was your main objective?
As the artist of this piece, my main objective was to combine two images, to create one big image.
2. What tools did we primarily use for this project?
For this project, I mainly used the crop tool to make it look like the images were the the same size. I also used the paintbrush tool on the Layer Mask, to make it look like the cat was fading into the trees.
3. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?
One challenge that I faced during this project is trying to make it look like the cat and trees were one big image. Another challenge that I faced during this project is trying to find images that blend well together.
4. One of the options for this project was to remove the background of your main image. If you chose that option for one or all your pieces, what tools or techniques did you use to remove it? Were there some tools or techniques that worked better for you than others?
I did not decide to remove the background on my images. Instead, I made both of my images the same size, and combined them. I did not use other tools and techniques for this process; I used the same tools and techniques.
5. What are the advantages of using a Layer Mask to create the Double Exposure effect?
One advantage of using a Layer Mask to create the Double Exposure effect is that you are not painting on the actual image. Another advantage of using a Layer Mask to create the Double Exposure effect is that it doesn’t show the brush marks on the actual photo and it fades out some parts of the photo, while adding other parts of the photo, without showing brush marks.
